Fundraising Team Administrator (maternity leave cover)

Hours: 36 hours pw, 9 months fixed term maternity cover with possible extension to 12 months.

Reporting to: Head of Community and Events Fundraising

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 pa (dependent on experience)

Imperial College Healthcare Charity is seeking a strong database administrator with excellent customer service skills and an eye for detail to join them as Fundraising Team Administrator to cover maternity leave. This role sits within the Community and Events Fundraising team, managed by the Head of Community and Events Fundraising and supports the whole Fundraising and Communications Directorate with administrative, database and financial processing tasks.

Imperial College Healthcare Charity is an independent charity raising funds for research and projects that help improve patient healthcare at the five London hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea, St Mary and Western Eye hospitals.

The key responsibilities for the Fundraising Team Administrator (maternity cover) include:

  • managing the fundraising database
  • processing donations including cash, online and cheque and thanking donors
  • managing fundraising material stock
  • maintain donor and stakeholder records
  • specifically supporting colleagues within the Fundraising and Communications Directorate with administrative tasks as well as other colleagues across the rest of the charity as appropriate

We are looking for someone with proven administrative ability, including extensive use of CRM systems/databases, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and methodically. Advanced skills using Microsoft Office programs for administration is required, as is an exceptional approach to customer service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but ambitious charity fundraising team during a period of focused activity for the fundraising team and the wider charity. As a small team there is opportunity to get involved with different aspects of our work including community events and activities.
This position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and two references.
