Imperial Health Charity is delighted to present A Train Through Time by illustrator Nina Cosford, located outside the entrance to St. Mary’s Hospital’s A&E unit.
The artwork was commissioned to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the modern railway and to celebrate the historic railway connections with Britain’s healthcare system. In the piece, which takes the form of a timeline, Nina wanted to celebrate St. Mary’s Hospital rich history, its diverse workforce and local community, while marking the importance of train journeys staff and patients have made over the years and will continue to make long into the future. The artwork creates a vibrant and uplifting welcome to St. Mary’s Hospital.
