Make a gift for our future

By leaving a gift to Imperial Health Charity in your will, you can help the charity continue to improve healthcare at the Trust and across the NHS. It may be a way of saying thank you for the care and treatment you or a loved one has received, or simply because you want to make a difference to patients and hospital staff in the future. We support all five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, so you can make your gift to a specific hospital or department, or leave it to us to use the money where the need is greatest.

Our aim is to make healthcare better. As a charity, we support major redevelopments, clinical research and medical equipment to improve patient care at our hospitals. You can read about how we have been making a difference here.

We recommend you contact a solicitor about making a will. Your solicitor can also help you make a small change (a codicil) to an existing will. There are different types of legacies, so discuss this with your solicitor who can best advise you on which to choose.

A residuary legacy

Once you have ensured your family and any outstanding administration has been covered, you may wish to leave what is left of your estate to the charity.

A pecuniary legacy

A gift of a specified sum of money. You can arrange for it to be ‘index-linked’ so that its value does not get eaten away by inflation over the years.

Giving a specific item

Sometimes people wish to leave the charity a specific asset from their estate, such as a collection of artworks or the proceeds from the sale of a house. In all cases, your solicitor will need our name, Imperial Health Charity, and our registered charity number, 1166084.

Let us know if you’ve made a legacy gift

Please tell us if you have decided to leave us a gift in your will so we can thank you and keep you up to date with how we are using legacy income to help the Trust’s hospitals.
