In the past few months, Imperial Health Charity have worked hand-in-hand with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust on its Covid-19 response. As we plan forward, we remain committed to supporting Trust staff and patients, and will continue to work strategically with the Trust’s senior teams. Compassionate Communities is a new initiative, funded by Imperial Health Charity, to help improve the health and wellbeing of people in north west London most affected by Covid-19.
Working in partnership with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we will support local organisations that have strong relationships with their communities and work closely with other partners to drive forward community-led projects.
Funding is available to support patients and families in extreme financial difficulty as a result of being in hospital or having hospital treatment. Support is available for patients and their families to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, funeral expenses and essentials.
Grants of up to £1,500 are available per patient and applications are accepted year-round.
Our Small Grants programme provides funding for bright ideas to support staff in improving patient care across the Trust and towards staff amenities where appropriate.
Funding of up to £10,000 per project is available and applications are accepted year-round.
Our Research Fellowships programme is open to all staff at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to undertake a research project that will make an impact on patient care within the Trust, its surrounding communities and the wider NHS. With funding available to cover an individual's salary and related research expenses, the fellowships provide a unique opportunity for staff to start or continue their academic research career.
Innovate at Imperial enables Trust staff to explore novel and innovative ways of improving health and social care. This can include projects that address hospital processes, support staff wellbeing, enhance patient safety or improve patient care.
The charity oversees over 400 donor-gifted funds, each with a specific purpose to support a particular ward, department, area of research, service or group of patients.
The charity team, trustees and designated special fund advisers identify ways to utilise these individual funds to make a real difference to a wide range of Trust departments and services.
