Today, our NHS turns 75 - and at this milestone moment, we’re taking the time to say thank you. Thank you for taking care of us. Thank you for supporting our friends and families. Thank you for always being there when we needed you, day and night.
As we celebrate 75 years of the NHS, we want to share our gratitude with the amazing staff and volunteers at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust who provide outstanding care around the clock at our five hospitals.
That’s why we’re inviting you to share your personal thank you message to the NHS as part of our #ThankYouNHS campaign.

So far this year we’ve received hundreds of moving messages from people who have benefited from incredible care and support, are proud to support their local hospital or simply passionate about our health service.
"The outstanding care I received highlights the NHS at its best," said Shahnaz, who was treated at Charing Cross Hospital following a severe brain aneurysm in 2018. "As well as the exceptional treatment I received, their optimisitic outlook and moral support was an invaluable source of hope to my daughters when things were looking very bleak. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for not giving up on me."
Helen also shared her personal thank you to Prof Christina Fotopoulou and her team at Hammersmith Hospital who led her treatment for advanced ovarian cancer back in 2020.
"As soon as we met, Christina put me at ease with her empathy and compassion," she said. "I put all my trust in her and she was always available. I could not be more grateful to Christina and her team at Imperial College Healthcare. I owe her my life and thank them with all my heart."
