NHS heroes star in new billboard campaign with BNP Paribas
A new billboard campaign starring several of our hospital heroes has been launched at Marylebone station to celebrate our partnership with BNP Paribas.

The series of giant posters displayed throughout the station recognises the incredible contribution that BNP Paribas made to support our Covid-19 Relief Fund.

The bank’s extraordinary £500,000 donation enabled us to provide emergency support for NHS staff and patients across our five hospitals at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.

This generous gift is also helping us to offer long-term support as our hospitals recover and rebuild over the coming months.

Three of our own NHS colleagues - Fazeela Chharawala, Shehan Hettiaratchy and Sadie Syed – feature in the billboard campaign, which is on display at Marylebone station throughout August.

Hayley Pannick, Director of Development at Imperial Health Charity, said: “This year has been the toughest the NHS has ever faced – and during this period of unprecedented pressure on the health service our work has never been more important.

“Thanks to this extremely generous gift from BNP Paribas, we’ve been able to respond to the crisis, stepping in to provide vital wellbeing support for front-line NHS staff as well as helping patients affected by the virus at this unimaginably difficult time.

“We’re delighted to work together with BNP Paribas to celebrate the outstanding contribution made by the thousands of NHS staff at our hospitals who have worked round the clock to save countless lives at the peak of the pandemic.”

Thanks to the six-figure donation from BNP Paribas, we’ve been able to fund additional counselling services and improved rest areas for NHS staff. We’ve also provided hundreds of patient care packs and ‘virtual visiting’ tablet devices to help those confined to a hospital bed keep in touch with their loved ones.

Now, as we emerge from the peak of the crisis, we’re working with our hospitals to make sure we continue to provide long-term support to help them recover and rebuild.

Anne Marie Verstraeten, BNP Paribas' UK Country Head, said: "During a period of immense global challenge, the NHS has been pushed to its absolute limit. Their essential work continues as we navigate the Covid-19 crisis and we are proud to be able to assist with supporting their resources as they work hard within our community. Stronger together, as a community supporting each other, we will build back better.”
