Performing Medicine is a Clod Ensemble initiative that exists to support health professionals to provide high-quality, compassionate care.
We are delighted to partner with Performing Medicine to offer practical workshops to Imperial College Healthcare NHS staff.
The workshops explore techniques to support wellbeing and improve the quality of conversations at work. These include: developing an awareness of non-verbal signals and how these may be interpreted; understanding self-care strategies needed to improve wellbeing; exploring ways to improve communication with colleagues, patients and carers; looking at ways of managing stress and building resilience through exercise and relaxation techniques.
"It’s been an absolute joy to work with a range of staff across the hospital. It’s been rewarding to see staff at all levels take time out for their wellbeing and have the opportunity to connect with colleagues. In our sessions, we aim to explore the ways in which staff and their interactions with others and the environment contribute to a well-functioning and positive healthcare system. We hope that staff leave with strategies to incorporate self-care into their practice, and with a greater awareness of their physicality and the agency this affords them" - The Performing Medicine Team
