Our art collection

Our collection of more than 2,000 artworks focuses on 20th century and contemporary British art.

We commission and collect many different works of art, including sculptures, paintings, video installations, photographs, limited edition prints and original works on paper.

Our aim is to display these artworks throughout our hospitals - in public areas, clinical units and outdoors - in order to enhance and uplift what can be sterile and intimidating surroundings.

We also care for many historical works of art at our hospitals - each associated with the site's unique individual history - and we're proud to be fully accredited by Arts Council England. We strive to ensure our collection grows with a focus on sustainability, and our artworks are cared for to museum standards.

Across our collection, we're passionate about working with both established and emerging artists on a variety of projects, installations and exhibitions.

Below, you can browse some of the highlights of our collection, as well as recent acquisitions, in our online gallery.
