Imperial Health Charity, with funding from Grand Plan, presents a new mural by London-based artist Ikra Arshad.
This mural artwork by London-based artist Ikra Arshad focuses on enhancing the stairwell through geometric shapes and bold colours. Inspired by nature and abstract patterns, this artwork brings warmth to visitors, staff, and patients navigating the stairwell leading to A&E at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world's contrasting colours and the symbolism of ancient architecture as spaces of reflection, through the mural the artist hopes to spark joy, enhancing wellbeing and connection among all who encounter it. Ikra's minimalistic yet playful style employs pastel tones and contrasting geometric patterns to create a bold yet serene feeling for staff and patients alike, enriching the space with its positive energy.
