Damien Hirst

Laminated giclée print on aluminium composite panel

Renowned British artist Damien Hirst used one of his most familiar motifs, butterflies, to create two limited edition prints for charity. One rainbow shaped and one heart shaped, these rainbow hued prints have been made digitally using photographs of coloured butterfly wings.  The edition, as well as postcard sets of the same artworks superimposed onto famous British landmarks, were sold to raise funds for NHS Charites Together and the Felix Project, a London based food charity.

Hirst said “I wanted to do something to support the many people who are risking their lives to help those in need during this time of crisis.  The rainbow is a sign of hope and so I’m pleased to release these prints to help fund the brilliant work being done by NHS staff across the country.”
